Description: September 8, 1904 New York Giants vs. Philadelphia Phillies scorecard. Original scorecard issued for the game played at The Polo Grounds which was won by the Giants (4-1) with Christy Mathewson on the mound. The front cover design incorporates images of the Mathewson, catcher Frank Bowerman, and Hall of Fame Manager John McGraw. cover is separated from the contents and has some light edge wear including a small chip at upper right. Back cover is missing. Scored neatly in pencil through the top of the 7th inning. Includes Mathewson Collection certificate of provenance: See description
