Description: Muhammad Ali handwraps worn while training for 1980 fight vs. Larry Holmes (Craig Hamilton LOA) (EX) Pair of cloth handwraps, each retaining "Everlast" manufacturers tag. Both have "Ali" written on below tag in vintage black marker. Heavy evident usage throughout with scattered staining. Donated by Ali to a televised charity auction in the period with the other Ali material offered in this sale. Includes letter of authentication from noted boxing expert and historian Craig Hamilton who notes "These hand wraps are consistent with hand wraps used by Muhammad Ali throughout his career including his amateur career.
