Description: Muhammad Ali boxing shoes worn while preparing for 1980 fight vs. Larry Holmes signed (3) times with desirable inscriptions (Craig Hamilton and JSA LOAs) (EX) Pair of high ankle white leather shoes with red accents each having "Adidas Boxing Boot" stamped on the outside. Shoes are size (13) and retain their original white laces. Interior stampings read "13: 112 202" (denoting size and model) and both have "ALI" written on in black marker. The right shoe has been signed twice; the first reading "June 5, 1980 Series to others is the rent we pay for our room here on Earth, Muhammad Ali" and the second reading "From Muhammad Ali, 3 times Heavy Weight Boxing Champion June 5 1980." Left shoe has been signed, "From Muhammad Ali, June 5 - 80 The Greatest Boxer of all Times." Blue ink signatures rate 7 to 8 out of 10. Includes full LOAs from JSA for each shoe (authenticating signatures) and LOA from noted boxing expert and historian Craig Hamilton reading in part, "Muhammad Ali wore size 13 shoes at this time in his career. These shoes match still photographs of Ali training at thie time...The ALI marking inside the shoes is consistent with other training equipment I have seen from this era. These shoes compare favorably with other training shoes used at this time including a pair I recently viewed that Ali gave to former light heavyweight champion Eddie Mustafa Muhammad."
