Description: 1896 Philadelphia Press "The National Game of Baseball" supplement (Technical VG-VG/EX) Fine early baseball display piece as issued as a one day supplement on Mary 3, 1896 features a series of position players and and additional group on the bench. All were meant to be cut out with the balance of the sheet set up as a baseball field background creating a diorama like game action scene. 10"x16.5" Heavy paper stock displays scattered creasing with several more prominent tears and a chip to the upper right corner. The right edge appears minimally effected by some moisture. Retains great display value and has been mounted (presumably) and framed to 14.25"x20" overall: Technical VG-VG/EX ($400-$600)Final Bid: $330.00
