Description: 1973 Warren Spahn presentational plaque given upon Hall of Fame election w/related newspaper and photo (Plaque EX/MT-NM) Shield shaped wooden plaque has affixed cast metal framework holding brass placard which is engraved, "Warren E. Spahn, Who Reached The Ultimate In Baseball Acclaim, The Baseball Hall of Fame, Harthshorne Chamber of Commerce January 29, 1973." Includes original color snapshot (3.5"x4.5") with the award (vintage to the period, presumably taken at time it was received) and newspaper which covers the event and has additional photo (heavy fold lines). Measures 11"x8.75" at extremes and has inset makers placard on back. Touch of light wear. Includes letter of provenance from the Spahn family: Plaque EX/MT-NM ($300-$500)Final Bid: $277.00
