Description: Warren Spahn professional model Milwaukee Braves hat c.1959 (EX) Classic cap featuring white embroidered "M" on blue body with red brim and red button accent. "Wilson Professional Cap" tag appears on interior leather band which has size "6 7/8" stamp. Underside of band stamped with 1959 date code. Period black marker "21" written on underside of brim and there is an additional marker like smudged area below. Retains fine display qualities with usage wear evident throughout. There are few small moth holes on rear half (near top/button) and some discoloration to underside. Brim has set in a heavy bend at left side (when viewed from front) but when positioned for display this does not have overwhelming effect. Includes letter of provenance from the Spahn family and image of Spahn in similar style hat for display: EX ($2,000-$4,000)Final Bid: $1,502.00
