Description: Warren Spahn professional model Spalding brand cleats c.1950s (VG-EX) Pair of black leather cleats displaying considerable usage wear with large portions of dirt remaining dried into the metal spikes. Each has "Spahn" written on in period black marker with the left shoe having "21" added below. Right cleat has "Spalding" manufacturers below (which is missing small piece at left side). Left shoe has toe reinforcement. Leather has dried and is now brittle and the pair displays some effects of long term storage in a dry environment. Includes letter of provenance from the Spahn family and photo of Spahn wearing similar cleats for display: VG-EX ($500-$1,000)Final Bid: $2,200.00
