Description: July 4, 1967 Mickey Mantle 511th Career Home Run Baseball. Reach J.Cronin OAL baseball has a period marker notation on the side panel reading "Home Run No. 511 Minn." The mark was placed there by Mickey Mantle himself and is similar to those on other milestone baseballs which remained part of the Mantle Collection for decades. Expected soiling and use/wear throughout. The Yankees played a doubleheader against the Twins on July 4th and Mantle collected his 511th and 512th career home runs off pitcher Mudcat Grant. There are a scant number of well documented home run balls from this period known to have survived (with relation to any player let alone one of Mantle's stature) and the offered represents one of the highest numbered examples to have surfaced.
