Description: General Douglas MacArthur single signed baseball c.1949-50s. Lightly toned F.Frick NL baseball boldly signed on a side panel, "Douglas MacArthur" in green fountain pen. Signature rates 8/9 out of 10 with no other writing or inscriptions on the baseball. MacArthur served as Chief of Staff for the U.S. Army beginning in 1930 and was called back to duty in 1941 as active Commander of U.S. Forces in the Far East. Very fine condition example with direct provenance to the Ruth collection. Includes full LOA from PSA and letter of provenance from the Ruth family: Ball: EX-MT, Signature: NMEstimated Price Range: ($750-$1,500)
