Description: 1951 Mickey Mantle autographed Government postcard (PSA/DNA 8 NM-MT). One cent Government postcard has been signed "Mickey Mantle" in ink and postmarked May 18, 1951. Mantle played in his 28th career game as a member of the New York Yankees on that day (3-5 with a triple) with this being among the earlier documented autographs dating to his MLB career which we have offered. Further adding to desirability is a "Mickey Mantle Fan Club" return address stamp, the first which we can recall seeing. Tape was applied over the autograph and around the edges in the period and it has now toned.
