Description: 1953 Ed Bailey Texas League All-Star Game Ring. Original 10kt gold ring presented to Ed Bailey in recognition of his being selected to play in the Texas League All-Star Game in 1953. Bailey played for the North (who won 6-1 over the South) and was representing the Tulsa Oilers for whom he served as catcher that year. Face of the ring is lettered "Texas Baseball League All Star Game" around the edge and is accented by a small stone (.06 Carat) set in the center of a star. Either shank features a matching crossed bats with glove and ball design. There is an indecipherable hallmark on the interior band. Size (13) and weighs (15) grams. Wear throughout indicates that this was long a prized possession of Bailey and worn throughout his life.
