Description: 1867 Baseball presentational pocket watch (EX). 2" diameter pocket watch made by James Courvoisier. The inner back case is engraved "Presented to Frank C. Abbott - As best catcher in Maine State - Tournament of 1867 - Abbott C. - Waterhouse P. - Higgins 1st B. - Williams 2. B. - Mathews 3.B. - Moody S.S. - Curtis L.F. - Woodman C.F. - Goyer R.F.". The front case is engraved "A.B.B.C." on the outside. The watch face and inner workings are marked "James Courvoisier Geneva". The inside of the back case is marked 'E Jacot". There are no metal markings, and it appears that the case is silverplated. Watch does run, but it is unknown if in proper working condition: EXFinal Bid: $536.00
