Description: 1892 Alexander Cartwright hand-written personal reciept (EX-EX/MT). Measures 3 1/2"x8 1/2". Personalized receipt with "A.J. Cartwright" printed on the left side and "Received from Alex J. Cartwright" printed across the middle. Cartwright hand wrote and dated (February 1st, 1892) the receipt which was written to Grace Kahoalii for the amount of fifty dollars. Wright managed Queen Emma's finances after he had moved to Hawaii. Grace Kahoalii was Queen Emma's mother. Kahoalii signed the back of the receipt in ink. All of the writing rates 9-10 out of 10.
