Description: Ted Williams 1953 All-Star Game Sterling Silver presentational pitcher - Williams throws ceremonial first pitch (4) days after release from Military Service (EX/MT) Handled pitcher has been engraved on the front, "All Star Game Cincinnati July 14, 1953." Marked on the underside, "Gorham+Sterling" with a touch of light wear incl. a scratch at lower front. Although he did not play, Williams threw out the first pitch just (4) days after a formal release from Military Service in Korea. It was one of (19) total All-Star Game appearances during his celebrated career and set the stage for his return to the Boston Red Sox roster.
