Description: Lot of (18) Babe Ruth wire, press, and vintage photographs c.1930s-40s (with some very appealing examples) (Range VG-EX/MT) Nice assortment of Ruth related photography includes some better images. Note: All years are taken from date stamps or printed newspaper examples affixed to back or paper captions. Includes very nice 6"x8" sepia toned photograph of Ruth and Jacob Ruppert shaking hands dated 1930. Some cropping notations on front along with hand drawn "AP" logo; 1932 photo of Ruth in Yankee uniform at Shibe Park, seated in dugout washing his eye with eyecup; 1933 image of Ruth hunting; 1940 dated portrait; 1942 image of Ruth in Yankee uniform looking at a baseball with a younger woman; 1946 image of Ruth with child and a pair of clowns; (2) different 1947 photos of Ruth with Hank Greenberg. One in which he is autographing a photo, the other in which both are holding bats; 1947 image of Ruth with Jack Dempsey; 1941 image of Ruth with Ty Cobb at Charity Golf Tournament; 1944 dated portrait of Ruth; 1947 dated image of Ruth with some Red Sox uniformed players; choice 1942 image of Ruth on set of a movie; (2) mid c.1930s photos of Ruth in Boston Braves uniform; and others.
