Description: Large mixed media artwork piece by Steve Sax featuring Joe DiMaggio, Lou Gehrig, and Joe McCarthy (NM) Eye catching modern art piece features folk-art style likenesses of DiMaggio, Gehrig, and McCarthy. The artist has conveyed the feel of a dugout scene with Gehrig and McCarthy seated and DiMaggio standing at edge selecting a bat. A wooden plank added near top and bat extending out from DiMaggio's hands add depth and the dirt at lower portion has raised textured effect. Signed by Sax within. Done on plywood measuring 36"x48" overall with bat extending outward approx. (16) inches.
