Description: Highly visual large format "Pinch Hit Tobacco" baseball themed advertising display c.1910s (GD/VG display value) Rare oversized panoramic style early advertising display represents the only one of it+s type we have encountered. Vibrant yellow background hosts -Pinch Hit Tobacco+ titling with -The Hit of The Day+ slogan below in purple stripe. At left is pictured a package of product and at right a baseball player. Currently mounted to wooden stretcher style backing (similar that which usually holds a canvas) and affixed via wooden strips on front edges. Vertical creasing throughout as a result of storage along with other scattered light wear and a few small tears. A baseball shaped piece of material has been affixed over player likeness which we suspect covers a hole as there is added paper on back in same area: GD/VG display value ($2,000-$3,000)Final Bid: $941.00
