Description:Uniquely constructed bat signing desk made for Ted Williams and Williams signed image (EX/MT) Large wooden apparatus made especially for Ted Williams to aid in the signing of baseball bats. Upper hinged portion lifts to reveal felt covered half circles for the bat to sit in. When closed the bat is held straight and in position with a window allowing for signing to take place. Lid has scattered marker marks and an area which has been colored in, presumably so that Ted knew where to begin the signature. His jersey "#9" is also written on the desk. Very well constructed and measures approx. 30"x22.5" at extremes. Fitting of his perfectionist nature, it is not surprising that Ted took such steps to ensure the quality of his autograph. Includes 11"x13" printed image which has been signed across the front, "Ted Williams", a pair of Sharpie markers which were found within Williams personal effects, and certificate of provenance from Claudia Williams: EX/MT
