Includes Waterford crystal bowl which sits atop 7.25" square wooden base bearing affixed placard reading in part, "...presented to Ted Williams whose character, example, and merit exemplify the highest qualities of leadership and embody the title Marine." Bowl stand approx. 8" tall on base. Framed piece bearing similar sentiment measures 14.25"x18" overall. Slightest hint of wear to frame and wooden base. Variety of related materials incl. typed letter to Ted Williams relating details of the event and mention of John Glenn being present to receive the award in Williams' place (he did not attend due to health reasons), original event invitation and program, and (4) small color photographs taken at the ceremony with (1) picturing Glenn speaking with both pieces visible.
