Description: Hand carved number "9" sculpture by noted marble artist Renzo Palmerini (stands 21" tall) (NM) Substantive number "9", hand carved from solid white marble and block letter signed by the artist within, "R.Palmerini." Stands a full 21" tall and sits atop 4"x8" green marble plinth. Palmerini is regarded as "one of the most prolific and skilled marble sculptors" having several famed works to his credit including a pair which sit at the entrance to the House of Representatives in Washington.
