Photographic postcard showing civilians and soldiers in the city of Metz, France after the French Army had marched in. A handwritten note on the back reads, "The civil population of Metz were glad to see the French Army come marching in. Our Aviators refrained from bombing the city during the war. Hendicourt France, Nove. 24 1918." The handwriting rates 8-8/9 out of 10. Lt toning and wear. Authenticated and encapsulated by PSA/DNA and includes Mathewson Collection certificate of provenance: EX-EX/MT
