Stunning sepia tone 4"x6" horizontal image picturing Mathewson in portrait pose wearing New York Giants uniform gazing at the camera. Outstanding condition with uncommonly strong contrast for its era. Minor scrapbook paper residue on the otherwise blank back. Given its composition, condition, and most notably direct provenance to the personal collection of the subject the offered image is one of the finest of its type that we have encountered.
