Definitive early 1920s image remains one of the most symbolic ever taken showing Ruth as a face in the crowd among a throng of young fans. The photo captures the essence of Ruth who was forever young at heart and conveys the meaning that he carried for the game and its fans. "Christy Walsh Syndicate" stamp appears on the back and included is the original scrapbook page to which it had been mounted.
