Description: 1978 Joe DiMaggio New York Yankees World Series Championship ring. Classic design features a diamond set in blue stone which is ringed by (21) smaller diamonds and "World Champions" is lettered around the beveled edge. On one shank is a relief is the Yankees team logo over a World Series trophy; opposite has the name "DiMaggio" with "1978 Pride Tradition" and the number "5" lettered below. The interior band is engraved "Greatest Come Back In History" and marked "LGB 14K." Size (10.5), weighing (45) grams, with a hint of light wear. One of a replacement set of rings which was issued to DiMaggio by George Steinbrenner after his originals were stolen. A highly desirable piece with note to importance of both team and recipient.
