Description: Babe Ruth's 1932 New York Yankees presentational leather photo album with (20) autographed photographs inscribed to Ruth by George C. Burke. Very rare leather bound presentational photo album as given to Babe Ruth on the occasion of the 1932 World Championship season by his teammates. Front cover displays embossed floral decor in an Arts & Crafts manner with "The Yankees 1932" impressed gilt lettering at center. Interior has numerous blank black paper album pages which photos were cornered within. Exterior cover shows expected light to moderate wear with some interior pages having come loose from the spine, 8"x10": VG. The lot also includes a very rare selection of (20) New York Yankees autographed 4"x6" George C. Burke photographs each inscribed to Babe Ruth. Players include Johnny Allen, Wiley Moore, Ed Wells, Jimmy Mars (secretarial), Eddie Farrell, Doc Painter, Myril Hoag, Sam Byrd, Charlie Devens, Walter Brown, Dan MacFayden, Cy Perkins, George Pipgras, Arndt Jorgens, Jim Burke, Art Fletcher, Lyn Lary, Frankie Crosetti, Ben Chapman, and Joe Sewell. Many have very personal and/or lengthy inscriptions to the Babe with signature condition ranging from 8 to 10 out of 10.
