Description: Mrs. George H. Ruth (Claire) 1934 Tour of Japan silver pass with original leather folio. Rare silver-plated pass as issued to Claire Ruth as a member of the U.S. All-Star team which toured Japan in 1934. Heavy gauge rectangular pass measures 2 3/8"x4" having embossed U.S. shield shaped enamelwork emblem at center inscribed beneath, "Mrs. George H. Babe Ruth All American Baseball Team 1934 Japan". The pass remains in fine general condition with some light surface wear to front and back. Impressed with hallmark of J.E. Caldwell on the reverse. Includes its original tooled leather folio with gilt monogram impressed on the exterior, "GHR". Includes letter of provenance from the Ruth family: EXEstimated Price Range: ($2,000-$4,000)
