Description: 1910 Art Devlin handwritten letter. September 25, 1910 handwritten letter to D.A. Fletcher occupies (2) and half pages of a 5”x6.5” folded over paper sheet. Noted as being written at the Polo Grounds and reads in part, “I have talked with the players of the Chicago club, all of whom convinced me of their intentions to play…I don’t know the measurements of my uniform but one the size of Tinker’s will be alright.” Signed at the close “Arthur Devlin.” Devlin spent most of his (9) years in baseball with the Chicago Cubs and was a member of their 1905 Championship team. Light consistent age toning, slightly more pronounced in a few areas, with typical mailing fold. Handwriting/signature rate 8/9 out of 10. Includes letter of provenance and auction LOA from JSA: EX-EX/MT
