Description: Sidney Thornton Pittsburgh Steelers professional model game used jersey c.1977 (Steelers Pro Shop authentication). White jersey with black and gold sleeve accents has number "38" on the front, back, and shoulders. There is a "Thornton" nameplate across the back and the outline of another can be seen when the jersey is inside out. Sand-Knit "Designed & Tailored Exclusively…" tag is on the front tail with an additional below noting size (48). To the side is an "75" printed year tag suggesting that it was first issued to Ed Bradley that year and the nameplate was later changed to "Thornton" for use in 1977. Nice use and wash wear are evident throughout including a few team repairs. "Steelers Authentic Memorabilia" hologram is affixed inside (number GU-111077) and the online database confirms that jersey to be "game used." Note that the database refers to it as a 1975 Thornton jersey however it would have been issued to him in 1977, his first season.
