Description:1978 L.C. Greenwood Pittsburgh Steelers professional model game used jersey - Super Bowl Championship season (Steelers Pro Shop authentication, Art Rooney II letter, and MeiGray). White jersey with black and yellow sleeve accent stripes has number "68" on the front, back, and shoulders. A "Greenwood" nameplate is on the back. Medalist Sand-Knit "Designed & Tailored Exclusively…" tag is on the front tail with an additional below noting size (52). Printed "78" year tag is to one side. Nice use and wash wear are evident throughout including a handful of team repairs. "Steelers Authentic Memorabilia" hologram affixed (number GU-111129) and their website confirms that it was "game used." In addition, it is accompanied by a signed letter from Art Rooney II confirming use and that it long remained in the Steelers equipment repository. Greenwood was at the core of the Pittsburgh Steelers 1970s dynasty which claimed (4) Super Bowl titles between 1975 and 1980. Standing 6'6" tall he was an imposing sight as their vaunted "Steel Curtain" defensive line dominated the opposition. Only a handful of Greenwood jerseys have entered the market with the offered easily among the best of what likely amounts to less than half a dozen in circulation. Includes LOAs from Hunt Auctions and MeiGray: EX
