Description: 1978 Ray Pinney Pittsburgh Steelers professional model jersey - Super Bowl Championship season (Heavily customized, outstanding use). Black jersey has number "74" on the front, back, and shoulders and here is a "Pinney" nameplate across the back. Medalist Sand-Knit "Designed & Tailored Exclusively..." tag is on the front tail with additional below noting size (48). Printed "78" year tag is to one side. Outstanding use is evident throughout including numerous team repairs. The jersey was heavily customized for fit with portions of material removed and/or folded over and restitched. Pinney wore number (74) with the Steelers from 1977-1982 including an appearance in Super Bowl XIII which they won. It has been relayed by our consignor that images from that game show Pinney in a jersey which was similarly tailored to his liking however we have been unable to definitively confirm this.
