Description: 1991 Rod Woodson Pittsburgh Steelers professional model jersey - likely used again in 1992 (Team repairs) (MeiGray). White jersey with black and yellow sleeve accent stripes has number "26" on the front, back, and shoulders. A "Woodson" nameplate spans the back. Ripon tag is on the front tail with adjacent size (46) flag tag and there is a "91" printed year tag to one side. There is a "Designed & Tailored Exclusively..." tag above and wash tag inside. Strong use is evident throughout including several team repairs with one on the back being rather large. In addition, there are some impact marks on the upper back. The outline of a Steelers 60th Anniversary patch on one shoulder suggests it was re-issued for further use during the 1992 season. On the heels of wildly successful college career the Steelers selected Rod Woodson in the first round of the 1987 Draft and he would spend the next decade playing in Pittsburgh. It was during that time that he established himself as one of the premier players in the NFL and by the time of his eventual retirement in 2003 he ranked among the best cornerbacks in League history. His (32) fumble recoveries, (12) interception return touchdowns, and (1,483) interception return yards remain NFL records to this day.
