Description: 1988 Merril Hoge Pittsburgh Steelers professional model jersey (Incredible use and team repairs) (Steelers Pro Shop provenance). Black jersey with white and gold sleeve accents has number "33" on the front, back, and shoulders. There is a "Hoge" nameplate across the back. Sand-Knit "Designed & Tailored Exclusively…" is on the front tail with additional below noting size (48). An "88" printed strip tag to one side denotes year. Length was added to the jersey with some extra material sewn onto the lower hem and the outline of an "AJR" (Art Rooney Jr.) patch can be seen on the left front chest. Among the most well used football jerseys we have ever seen with extensive team repairs throughout the shoulders, upper back, and in a few other areas. In addition, the sewn on portions have been reinforced. Includes the original Steelers Pro Shop price tag however the corresponding hologram (which we presume would have been placed on the jersey at time of sale) is no longer present and LOA from Hunt Auctions: EXEstimated Price Range: ($1,500-$2,500)
