Description: Mickey Mantle MM8 "Professional Model" Rawlings baseball glove pictorial box with matching glove c.1954-57 Rare original box is one of the more visually appealing done in the period with Mickey Mantle pictured on the lid and all (4) sides. Outstanding display value despite wear which includes wrinkles on all sides (one of which has some heavier creases) and some more pronounced wear to the lid (which has a puncture that was long ago reenforced from behind with tape). Includes a matching left handed glove (right handed thrower) which shows use/wear however a partially visible Mantle facsimile signature remains in the palm and vestiges of the "MM8" model number can be seen. This was a top of the line offering from Rawlings at the time and can be found in their 1954-57 catalogs.
