Description: Rare 1952 Mickey Mantle (and others) autographed Mantle vs. Boyer All-Stars scorecard (Beckett Authentication) Original scorecard issued for an October 12, 1952 game played in Mickey Mantle's hometown of Joplin, Missouri. It featured a team comprised of Mantle and members of the semi-pro Baxter Springs Whiz Kids (the team where Mantle got his start a few years prior) pitted against the "Alba Aces" lead by Cloyd Boyer of the St. Louis Cardinals. A period newspaper account relays that the Whiz Kids won 11-3 with Mantle driving in (5) runs and he closed out the game by pitching the 9th inning. Heavy stock scorecard has been signed on the cover by (15) participants including both Mickey Mantle and Cloyd Boyer. All but one are done in pencil rating 7/8 to 8 out of 10. Partially scored with some light general handling/age related wear. The only example of this rare scorecard which we can recall seeing. Includes full LOA from BAS/Beckett: Sigs.
