Description: Significant 1989 Mike Schmidt autographed professional model batting gloves attributed to record breaking hit game. Pair of Franklin batting gloves signed by Schmidt in black marker with "Hit Record 4/20/89" inscription added to both. Signatures rate 7 to 8 out of 10. Schmidt broke Richie Ashburn's team record for career hit with his RBI double in the 1st inning of the April 20th game against the Pirates. Outstanding use with pine tar caked on the palms and fingers. Originally obtained by a collector who received items directly from players and team employees in the period, and includes letter of provenance from the original recipient, and LOA from Hunt Auctions: EXEstimated Price Range: ($1,500-$3,000)
