Description: Very scarce 1950 Joplin Miners baseball team autographed photograph including Mickey Mantle (PSA/DNA 6 EX-MT). Original black and white 8"x10" image of the Joplin Miners from the Western League including a young phenom by the name of Mickey Mantle. Mantle toe threw the Minor Leagues en route to his debut with the New York Yankees showcasing blazing speed and immense power hitting. He led the league in almost every offensive category and in one game belted two home runs over the 420 foot center field wall...both left handed and right. The photo has been autographed, in the period, by the team including Mantle who is pictured in middle row third from right. Mantle's signature rates 7/8 out of 10 with the remainder of players ranging from 6-8 accounting for overall 6 grade from PSA/DNA. One of only a minute surviving population of Mantle signed images from this period with the offered copy perhaps ranking as the finest of its type.
