Description: 1939 Philadelphia Athletics "Centennial Celebration" panoramic photograph and program (1910 and 1929 team reunion) (Photo GD/VG, Program VG/EX) Period sepia toned photograph taken at September 10, 1939 reunion game which saw members of the A's 1910 team play members of the 1929 team. Notables depicted incl. Connie Mak, Herb Pennock, Stuffy McInnis, Jack Barry, Lefty Grove, Stan Coveleski, Chief Bender, Frank Baker, Eddie Collins, Mickey Cochrane, and Lefty Grove. Evident wear throughout with a series of vertical creases/cracks which are the result of flattening after years of rolled storage and some surface loss. Framed for display. Also includes original game program from that day with exterior soiling and scattered wear. Handwritten notation on back of frame states that the photo is from the Ira Thomas Estate although we have no further supporting evidence: Photo GD/VG, Program VG/EX ($400-$600)Final Bid: $220.00
