GD/VG-EX/MT) Vintage Goldsmith "Official 97 League" baseball has been signed by (19), most of whom played with the Boston Red Sox and Cincinnati Reds. Includes Jimmie Foxx (sweetspot 7/8 out of 10), Lefty Grove, Connie Mack, Ernie Lombardi, Johnny VanderMeer (also on sweetspot above Foxx), Bob Doerr, Jim Bagby Jr, Jim Tabor, Jim Weaver, Gene Desautels, Elden Auker, Denny A-Galehouse, and others. Vintage fountain pen signatures rate 3 to 7/8 out of 10 with Foxx, Mack, and Lombardi being the strongest. Ball displays toning and scattered wear with period coat of shellac applied: Ball VG, Sigs.
