Description: Original artwork of Christy Mathewson by notable artist Donald Moss (EX-EX/MT). Circular painting measuring 6" in diameter portraying a high quality and near life like b&w image of Mathewson. The artist, Donald Moss, is known for his artwork used in Sports Illustrated magazines. Although we can not confirm that this piece of artwork was produced for use in a Sports Illustrated issue, it is highly likely that it was used in a sports related publication. The artwork is not signed by Moss, but is of the exact same style as the Walter Johnson artwork that is signed by Moss in lot (TBD) of this auction.
