Description: Early Spalding "Outfitters" double-sided porcelain advertising sign c.1890-1900 (EX). Rare 8"x18" double-sided green and white porcelain on metal advertising sign. Sign reads "A.G. Spalding & Bros. Inc. - Outfitters - Chicopee, Mass." These types of signs were designed to hang outside of a storefront and therefore constructed to be very durable and resistent to nature's elements. This sign is a testament to the construction as it retains great display quality all around. It exhibits light chipping to the edges with some rusting evident on the exposed metal.
