Description: Julius "Dr. J" Erving professional model sneaker c.1978-79. Custom made Converse "Dr. J" model sneaker is stamped on the side panel and exhibits evident wear. Signed in black marker on the side (faded), "Peace & Thanks, Julius "Dr. J" Erving "Fish" 1979". The sneaker was given to the consignor by Erving after the 1979 filming of the motion picture "The Fish That Saved Pittsburgh" which starred Erving, Meadowlark Lemon, and Kareem Abdul Jabbar.
