Description: Hall of Fame related pieces from George L. Kelly and Chief Bender Estates (Overall EX) Nice group with nearly all pieces appearing to have originated from the Estates of Hall of Famers Bender and Kelly. Bender was elected in 1953 and passed before he could attend the ceremony but was represented by his wife. Includes a pair of Hall of Fame envelopes addressed to Mrs. Bender with material inside including typed summations of his stats/achievements, 1954 guest pin and pass, stub from the 1954 Hall of Fame game, and a few postcards/brochures; telegram sent to Bender himself by Sid Keener of the Hall of Fame related c/o of the Philadelphia Athletics; a number of Hall of Fame related pieces which each have an "Estate of George Highpockets Kelly" stamp applied including 8"x10" which shows him at an Induction, he has signed the back and written the names of Waite Hoyt and Bill Terry who are also shown. Other pieces include Hall of Fame brochure, (2) HOF admission related tickets (not for Hall itself but related), Cooperstown decal, (7) Cooperstown related postcards, 1974 Otsego Hotel receipt, and a handful of other pieces.
