Description: 1972 Bill Walton UCLA Rookie Of The Year trophy - NCAA Championship & Player Of The Year season (EX). Approx. 19" tall silverplated figural trophy presented to Walton for being named the Rookie of the Year for the 1971-72 UCLA Bruins basketball team. Notable award titled on the affixed silver placard "Irv Pohlmeyer Memorial Trophy Rookie of the Year UCLA 1972 Bill Walton" with walnut wooden plinth base supporting a loving cup with player finial. Very fine display quality with small area of restoration to the edge of wooden base, and the figural portion of the trophy having been re-plated. Walton's first varsity season was nothing short of spectacular, as he lead UCLA to his first NCAA Championship, and named as the College Player of the Year. Significant award from one of Bill Walton's most impressive seasons. Includes signed letter of provenance from Walton Family: EX ($1,000-$2,000)
