LOT 144

Description: Bill Walton's handwritten 2004 NBA Finals notes with related Bob Dylan lyrics (EX). 8.5"x11" paper on which Walton wrote his notes leading up to the opening game of the NBA Finals between the Detroit Pistons and Los Angeles Lakers. Under the Lakers lineup, he wrote "Strong as Stilt" (likely referencing Shaquille O'Neal), and "How does Det win", then at the right side of the page he lists ways Larry Brown can win as the underdog. He mentions needing "somebody to fight Karl (Malone) + Shaq" "where is Maurice L. (Lucas) when needed" "what is needed is a song" "Chimes of Freedom", and two pages of the song's lyrics are stapled to the notes. Includes certificate of provenance from Walton Family: EX
