Description: Large format Al Gionfriddo 1947 World Series famous catch framed montage with auto & Game 6 ticket stub (EX/MT). Interesting, if somewhat kitschy, display piece themed on Al Gionfriddo's famous catch to rob Joe DiMaggio of a sure extra base hit or home run in Game 6 of the 1947 World Series, and DiMaggio's kick of the dirt in frustration. Custom frame, measuring approx. 36"x33x2 1/2" features an autographed 8"x10" photo of Gionfriddo at the top, signed by Gionfriddo with signature rating 6/7 out of 10; fabric-made "spectators" peeking out behind a grid; Murray Tinkleman illustration of the catch; and most importantly, a 1947 World Series Game 6 ticket stub (also Jackie Robinson's first World Series, though not his first game). Ticket appears GD with a crease but complete condition is unknown due to framing (may be adhered to frame backing). Frame displays light wear: EX/MT.
