Description: Alexander Cartwright "letterpress" letter (2 pages) (See description)Letterpress copy (made by the application of sheets of paper to a previously written letter before the ink had a chance to dry) of a (2) page handwritten letter which he had signed "Alex J. Cartwright" at the close. As is usually the case, the handwriting is not easily interpreted, and the piece is very fragile and we do not want to risk further damage by removed it from the plastic pages in which it currently resides.
