Description: Outstanding Roy Campanella original artwork by Willard Mullin also featuring the beloved "Bum" - from the Campanella Collection (EX) Significant illustration by the most noted sports artist of the era featuring a smiling Roy Campanella holding bats with the Brooklyn Bum at bottom left. Measures an impressive 18"x22" with a small period telegram at bottom asking "Mr. Spink" to keep the drawing clean as it was to be given to Roy at the Sportwriters dinner. Signed by Mullin at left with a few original artist proof notations in the margin. Outstanding display piece and one of the nicer Mullin works we have offered in some time. Originally sold as part of the Roy Campanella Collection (Hunt Auctions, August 2003) however the letter of provenance is not included: EX ($1,500-$2,500)Final Bid: $1,268.00
