Description: Extremely rare 1960 Strat-O-Matic set of (80) player cards - the original first release and believe to be one of only (350) produced issued in 1961 (VG/EX-EX) Exceedingly rate set of (80) player cards, plus (2) "Pitcher's Hitting" cards, is one of what are thought to be only (350) which were released in 1961. Notable players incl. Mickey Mantle, Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, Brooks Robinson, Ted Williams, Luis Aparicio, Nelson Fox, Al Kaline, Jim Bunning, Yogi Berra, Roger Maris, Whitey Ford, Harmon Killebrew, Richie Ashburn, Ernie Banks, Whitey Ford, Don Drysdale, Frank Robinson, Eddie Mathews, Warren Spahn, Bill Mazeroski, Orlando Cepeda, and Stan Musial. Varying degrees of mostly light corner and edge wear, along with a hint of toning, which is slightly more accentuated in some cases. Noted Strat-O-Matic expert Chris Rosen has relayed that based on upon our description these cards would grade VG to EX on his now commonly used grading scale: VG/EX-EX ($500-$1,000)Final Bid: $2,609.00
