Description: Rare c.1970s New York Yankees professional quality batting helmet (EX) * Please note - our consignor obtained this while at Spring Training in Florida during the early 1970s from Bobby Murcer. At that time, his jersey number was written inside on the padding which is no longer present. Uncommon early helmet done in deep blue with "NY" logo at front. Marked "American Baseball Cap" in raised lettering under brim and there are "KM Pro Company", "Pro-Celd", and size "7" tags inside. Majority of interior padding has fallen out with (1) padded leather strip that remains at front. Usage wear evident throughout.
