Description: Vintage Johnny Pesky related material incl. broadside, programs, signatures, 8th grade report card, etc (VG-EX/MT) Includes c.1941 Johnny Pesky "Citizen Of The Week" broadside done on 11"x21" heavy stock; (10) 1942 "Portland Salutes" heavy stock 5.5"x9" program cards (double sided) from an event honoring Pesky. Three have been signed by Pesky (vintage ink, 7-8 out of 10) and (2) are signed by boxer Lou Nova; one of Pesky's personal Boston Red Sox business cards; 1952 Topps and 1953 Bowman color Pesky cards; more modern Pesky photo postcard; (7) J.D. McCarthy postcards of Pesky in Tigers uniform; (2) 1963 Boston Chapter Baseball Writers Banquet programs which picture Pesky whom was the honored guest; Pesky's 1932 8th grade report card (signed by parent inside); (3) vintage c.1940s snapshot photos of Pesky (not in uniform) and slightly later studio photo of he and family; and a small pocket knife identified as having once belonged to Pesky. Also includes a vintage Minneapolis Miller team photo (on glossy paper stock) which does not picture Pesky and an Eastern Airlines baggage tag which has Minneapolis written in destination area.
